Central Lampung – Libassonline.com || Alleged criminalization efforts against a 72-year-old elderly grandfather due to moving / selling his own goods in Central Lampung which has been rolling in the trial at the Gunung Sugih District Court (PN) with case number 337 / Pid.B / 2024 / PN Gns led by the Chief Justice of the Panel Mr. Restu Ikhlas will enter the verdict agenda on December 11, 2024.
The defendant’s legal advisor Alvin Lim (LQ Indonesia Lawfirm-ed) hopes that the judge can provide an objective verdict. Alvin said, currently the Gunung Sugih District Court is the grandfather’s only hope for justice “we hope that in the verdict later the judges who examine and decide this case will be more objective and see this case clearly because the Sugih District Court is the last place for the community to seek justice,” said Alvin, quoted by Viva.co.id, Saturday, November 7, 2024.
Alvin Lim also added that this case is the first time it has happened in the country. He was surprised that someone who sold his own belongings was subject to sanctions. “In the history of law in Indonesia, this is the first time in Central Lampung, people who move and sell their own belongings can be punished, this is the funniest and most terrifying spectacle during my life in Indonesia, this is a form of oppression and persecution by law enforcement officers in Central Lampung against the community,”
He concluded. Separately, Activist 98, Kamper, through his written message to Temporatur.com, Sunday (08/12), said, “the attempt to criminalize the 72-year-old elderly grandfather MS who is suspected of moving / selling a generator belonging to the Tri Karya Manunggal Cassava Factory which also belongs to TKF, WJH and MS (2021-ed), who are now convicts. This shows that currently the enforcement of the supremacy of law in Indonesia is not in good condition because it has entered the darkest jungle”.

“I hope the Gunung Sugih District Court can see the case with the conscience of a respected judge, please do not make law enforcement a toy for individuals who greatly misery the common people,” concluded Kamper.
