Jakarta, libassonline.com – Pemerintah menggelontorkan bonus senilai Rp130,5 miliar untuk atlet peraih medali SEA Games Vietnam 2021 . Penghargaan diserahkan Presiden Joko Widodo ( Jokowi ) kepada perwakilan dari 499 atlet yang berlaga di Vietnam di Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, Senin (13/6/2022).
“Hari ini akan kita serahkan, kita berikan bonus penghargaan pada para atlet, pelatih dan asisten pelatih. Kepada atlet, kita berikan kurang lebih Rp130.500.000.000,” ujar Presiden Jokowi, Senin (13/6/2022).
“Kemudian untuk pelatih dan asisten pelatih mendapat Rp32 miliar, sebuah angka yang juga tidak sedikit,” lanjut presiden.
Jokowi pun mengaku bangga dengan para atlet yang berhasil mempersembahkan medali untuk Indonesia. Dirinya mengungkapkan dari 499 atlet yang dikirim, 408 diantaranya memperoleh medali.
Indonesia meraup total 241 medali di SEA Games Vietnam 2021 yang digelar 12-23 Mei 2022, dengan rincian 69 medali emas, 91 perak dan 81 perunggu.
“Pagi hari ini saya bangga saya senang bahwa darr 499 atlet yang kita kirim ke SEA Games ke 31 di Vietnam, 408 atlet semuanya memperoleh mendali baik emas, perak maupun perunggu. Artinya 82% atlet yang kita kirimkan membawa medali pulang ke tanah air,” imbuh Jokowi.
Jokowi pun menyebut bahwa nantinya pada acara olahraga internasional Indonesia tidak perlu lagi mengirimkan banyak atlet. Karena, menurutnya belum tentu hasilnya akan maksimal. (*)
